Carlyle House Display
Last Summer I made a scaled down copy of the Braddock-Washington sash for Carlyle House. The word is that the display is now complete, and viewable to the public. Here is the photo they sent me, the mannequin wearing the general's uniform .... complete with sash.

Fantastic work. I am relatively new to sprang and admire your work.

I am soooooo glad this is finally displayed! I visited Mt Vernon several times prompting for this to happen before I moved from Alexandria. They finally showed me plans, but the display wasn't complete. That sash certainly needs to be seen!

Carol acknowledges that we are on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional gathering place of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene people and the traditional homeland of the Métis people. Carol also acknowledges that sprang is part of many indigenous traditions and found in various forms all over the world. Let us re-discover this technique together.
