There are many ways to finish you piece of circular warp. This document contains some ideas from historic pieces.

The video at the left shows me fetching one of those edge threads to use as a weft to stabilize the center of a piece of circular warp sprang ... a very handy technique.

It is not always necessary to push each row all the way around. You can work your piece of circular warp in short sections. This is an article that I wrote on the subject for a Braid Society conference.
