This is a book of some 77 sprang lace patterns. These lace patterns are all based on designs in Dutch sashes in the book Vlechtwerksjerpen van de Noordbrabantse Schuttersgilden. The patterns range from geometric (triangles and diamonds) to figurative (people, angels, mermaids, deer, fowl, ships, and more). All patterns appear in words as well as charts.

Reviews: VF writes: What a treasure! The size is perfect and the binding allows the pages to lie flat and very readable.

JP writes: It is such a great book, so well presented and printed, excellent spiral binding too so opens up so flat making it perfect to work from (and I can insert my magnetic board behind to follow the pattern as I work). Excellent idea to duplicate the legends at the end of the book for quick reference too, and the QRs work really well.

Taprootvideo an instructor's cooperative, offers this volume as a physical book or as a down-load-able PDF. Check it out!

Carol acknowledges that we are on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional gathering place of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene people and the traditional homeland of the Métis people. Carol also acknowledges that sprang is part of many  indigenous traditions  and found in various forms all over the world. Let us re-discover this technique together.
