Red Sashes

Many sashes of the fur trade were solid colored, loom woven, and  red. Carol makes these sashes, based on sashes found in museum collections, notably a sash that belonged to Métis elder Joseph Rolette in the museum in Pembina, North Dakota, and a sash that belonged to James Douglas in the Royal BC Museum collection, in Victoria, British Columbia,
Each of these sashes is made to order. Variations in length, width, and color are possible. Contact me to discuss your order...

The price is calculated according to the width and length of the sash. A 4 inch wide sash that is 6 ft long will cost $90. A sash that is 5 inches wide and 8 ft long will cost you $130. For more precise pricing, contact me.

Here are some other color variations (weft of different red or the same red ... or blue)... this pattern can be adapted to order.
