Double cloth- January 22 2024
This class will take place on Zoom Monday January 29 2024 at 2-4pm central time in North America.
This class will show you how to create a two-layer piece of cloth using the interlinking stitch. While the description and instructions might seem to be complicated, really it’s a very simple, straight-forward set of movements.
You will create a piece of cloth using two colors of thread. One color of thread will be on the front side of the cloth, the other color of thread will be on the back side of the cloth. The double cloth technique opens up a new world for design possibilities. Create designs stitch by stitch, choosing which color of thread comes to the front. You will leave the other color of thread at the back of the cloth. Resulting cloth will have your design on the front of the cloth and the reverse design on the back side of the cloth.
Participants in this class need to be well grounded in the basic interlinking stitch.
They must also have taken Carol’s 2-part class on sprang twining on a background of interlinking.
