This e-book is not available on the sprang lady website
The SprangLady is very pleased to announce that her most recent book, one of Carol’s lockdown projects, Sprang Lace Patterns Inspired by Dutch Sashes sprang lace e-book is available on Taproot Video.
These sprang patterns are quite different from the ones in the Sprang Lace Pattern book Carol created in 2016. If you liked that collection, you’ll absolutely love this one. The new book is a collection of 77 sprang lace patterns, some of them geometric (triangles, chevrons, diamonds) some of them figurative (people, ships, animals) and some of them quite imaginative (mermaids and angels). Each motif is accompanied by a photo, a written pattern, and a chart.
The source document is a book published in Dutch, created to accompany an exhibition of sprang sashes. No need to understand Dutch to benefit from this book which contains photos 47 different sashes, in sufficient resolution that Carol was able to decipher the pattern. You can find that document on the SprangLady website …
The Sint-Jorisgilde has given us permission to make the book available, with one condition: If you use the book and publish something about this, the Sint-Jorisgild wants a copy for their historical archive.
