The first class will take place on Wednesday, October 30.
We began by touring your new frame, defining terms, and then we jumped into the interlinking stitch, right-handed and left-handed

This is a note-sheet that Carol prepared for classes she has taught in person. We don't expect it to make sense ahead of class, but hope it will be helpful information after the first class.

These are instructions Carol prepared for the frame you will be receiving by mail. It is the "owner's manual"  to be included with each sprang frame shipped by the frame-makers. Again, we do not expect it to make sense before class, but hope it will be useful after we talk about warping.

Here is a sample cheat card that many students find helpful.
The position of the bead at the start of the row can help you know which row you're on.

For the right-handed this is the bead at the white,
for the left-handed it is the bead at the left.

At the right you will find a short clip from the DVD. It outlines the basic interlinking stitch, the core of this six-week program.

Carol acknowledges that we are on Treaty 1 territory, the traditional gathering place of the Anishinaabe, Cree, Oji-Cree, Dakota and Dene people and the traditional homeland of the Métis people. Carol also acknowledges that sprang is part of many  indigenous traditions  and found in various forms all over the world. Let us re-discover this technique together.
