September 2023 s&Z

This month we revisit March’s nested diamonds, repeating the pattern in a tessellation.

Invitation 1: Make a headband or pouch with a single width.

Invitation 2: Use the repeats to make a wider cloth for a hat or scarf.

This pattern is inspired by a 4th century Coptic hairnet, sample #13629 at the Kelsey Museum.
