This month's window square and lace patterns take inspiration from a piece of lace in the Brussels Art and History Museum collection number D.0965.15

At the centre we have staggered rows of holes, set inside an outline of holes, in a diamond-shaped pattern. At first glance you will say, "wait a minute. We did these eyelets in January." Well, these eyelets are configured a bit differently. Check out the chart and instructions.

Surrounding this diamond are motifs I call "bent ropes".
A very clever pattern. It took me a few tries to de-code it, but I think I have given you a chart for a reasonable fac simile.
